Small Groups are the best place to get connected and grow at Salem. We want to see people enjoying life together as they study God’s Word, experience life change, support one another through the challenges of life, as well as pray and care for one another. Joining a small group at church is a great way to experience biblical community, strengthen your faith, build new friendships and grow closer to God.

WOMEN’S SMALL GROUP NEW STUDY!
The Women’s Small Group is beginning a new study on Thursday, April 15th, 2021. We will be studying the book Adam Hamilton’s “The Call: The Life and Message of the Apostle Paul.” In addition to weekly readings, the group will watch video presentations about the life of Paul that were filmed on location. Group discussions will focus on Paul’s faith journey and how we can follow his path in growing our own faith. Books for this study are $6.00 each and may be picked up at the Welcome Desk in the church or during the group meeting.
Women’s small group meets Thursdays from 10 am – 11 am in Sandherr Hall. All women are welcome to join the group for this new study. Discussion facilitators will include Sharon Booher and Brenda Binns, among others. On the week following the close of the study, the group will have an extended meeting time to view the film “Paul, An Apostle of Christ.” For more information on the group for this study, contact Lay Leader (CSM) Brenda Binns at [email protected].
MINISTRY MONTHLY MEETINGS
We are now meeting as a group, in person or on Zoom, on the 3rd Monday of the month to share stories about Salem’s ministries and brainstorm ways we can continue our community outreach ministries in our “new normal.” This past Monday we heard from Sarah Allison, who heads up our Welcome Home Ministry for families with new babies by showering them with meals and baby gifts for the new arrival’s first few weeks home. In March we will hear about the Scripture Coloring Ministry, now in its third year, at Cake Pros on Wednesday mornings.
Our goal is to plan a welcoming presence at as many of the Town Square events and local festivals and craft fairs as we can in 2021, as well as to assist in the planning and execution of the outreach events held at Salem, like the Block Party and our other seasonal family events.
If you have an idea about how to share the love of Christ with others, especially to those new to our church or the “un-churched” living in our community, please join us on Monday evening, March 15, at 7 PM. Find out how you can get support for a new mission or ministry idea of your own, or join in one already working to transform lives through Christ. Information for Zoom will be in the bulletin the week prior to the meeting in case we cannot meet in person at the church. Contact Christ Servant Minister, Brenda Binns by emailing her at ([email protected]) at any time for ideas for Welcoming and Outreach ministries at Salem.

We have many opportunities for you to get involved and lend a hand!
We can’t have worship without YOU!
